Our custom CHIRP Radio Android application is coming soon, but until it’s ready to go, you’ll need to install a free streaming audio application onto your Android Device and add CHIRP Radio as a favorite. We recommend using A Online Radio, StreamFurious, or Tune In Radio.
For Tune In Radio, just follow the instructions to load the application here.
A Online Radio Instructions:
- In the Android Market, download and install the “A Online Radio” application.
- Open the application.
- In the phone’s web browser, type http://chirpradio.org/stream
- When the phone pops up a message that says, “Complete Action Using” choose the “A Online Radio” app.
- CHIRP Radio should now be included in your “Favorites”
NOTE: Some flavors of Android don’t seem to work with the A Online Radio app. If that’s the case, please try using Stream Furious which can also be found in the Android Market. The above instructions won’t translate directly, but will be very similar.
Blackberry users can listen to CHIRP using Tune In Radio. Just follow the instructions to load the application here.
We’ve also been added to the station directory contained within the free radio streaming app, Nobex Radio Companion, that is available on for Blackberry users. Here are instructions for setting up and using the app.
Nobex Radio Companion Instructions:
- Download Nobex Radio Companion.
- Install the application.
- Restart your device.
- Reset the application permissions to “allow” for all options (Open options > advanced options > applications > Nobex Radio. Then click Edit Permissions. Change Connections, Interactions and User Data to “Allow”.)
- Search for CHIRP Radio in the applications station directory.
- Launch the station.

NOTE: The station will only work in the free player for US users. We’ve not yet tested it, but are under the impression that International Users can get access to the station through the premium version of the application.
You can now download the CHIRP Radio app from the iTunes App store. Get the app here.
